It's time to show off what you've learned this term and express yourself as an artist and a human being!
This project will be your term test so take it seriously and create each square as if it were the only one being graded. Craftsmanship counts so make sure your colors are strong and everything is neatly done!
This project is created on 18"x24" paper, with a 3 inch grid so you will end up with 48 squares.
Include the following: (no more or less of each item, only the number stated)
5 squares of letters (single letter in each square)
4 squares of solid color
6 squares of design/pattern
5 glue ons
1 square Master Study - artwork of your your chosen pastel/oil pastel artist (but use colored pencils - pastel/oil 1 Cubism square pastel will smear)
1 shaded drawing
1 color breakdown like your first painting (use watercolor or colored pencil)
This list takes up half of the squares. The other half of the squares are yours to fill up with expressions of yourself: favorites(teams, food, holiday, season, class, sport, pass time, hobby, candy, restaurant, band, movie, app, etc, etc, etc!!), family, friends, travel (where you've been or want to go), memories and future plans
REFLECTION QUESTIONS:
1) Describe the squares that fulfill these requirements:
Master Study -
Cubism -
Shaded Pencil -
Color Breakdown -
2) Tell me your favorite and least favorite square and the grade you think you deserve on this project.
3) Explain one "non-art" thing you have learned in Art class this term.
