You have 2 options for your Term Test Project:
1. HANDMADE BOOK:
Create a book from scratch! Begin by choosing a theme around which you will create your pages. Think of each page as its own artwork - but continue with the theme to help the book be a cohesive piece. Make sure every page is high quality so I could flip to any page and give a grade for the whole piece from what I see.
INFO and INSTRUCTIONS:
Page size: 6” x 6”
Number of pages: 6 or more
Take three pieces of 6" x12” paper and fold in half. These will be your pages.
Create a front/back cover by covering a piece of 6 1/2” x 12 1/2” oaktag with decorated paper (see me for demonstration on covering...) After creating pages, pamplet-stitch book to finish (see diagram below.)
Choose theme and express ideas about that theme in the following various ways
(in any order):

2. MYTHICAL TRIBUTE:
Choose a mythical creature and write a one page summary of the history/back story/interesting info about your creature (this is for my benefit, so I understand what you are creating.)
Then find 5 of your favorite artist interpretations of your creature. Do a good sketch of each one.
Using the 5 reference sketches, create YOUR OWN VERSION of your mythical creature.
You may use other resource photos to help you also (if, for example, you would like your mermaid to have a face like your best friend, etc.), but make sure to incorporate several of your sketched resources so you are not relying too heavily on just one.
