You have two options for your Clay Challenge. For whichever option you choose, please design three (3) ideas in your sketchbook.
1. Animal Effigy Pottery
Create an Animal Effigy Vessel (a vessel is a container, like a bowl, cup, etc.)
NOTE: Animal effigy pottery is found all over the world. One interesting area is near us! The Mississippian culture in the Mississippi valley (C.E. (christian era) 800-1600) created these pieces. They were found in archeological sites in the American Midwest and Southeast. (One big site is in Illinois and another is in Arkansas.)

Make a lidded slab box shaped like an object OR a decorative slab mug.
