First, watch these two introduction/demonstration videos.  You may work along with both videos, if there are things you'd like to try along the way.  The second video is quite long, but has good information - you may fast forward through slow areas, but don't skip any essential skills or tips.
Now it's your turn to create painterly landscape!  Find a photo that you can look at on your phone (not on the screen like they do.) Use the tutorial to help you create your piece in the same process, referring back to the video as needed.
